Jalmari Talola (Master of Engineering in Business Informatics) is a result driven business leader with analytical mindset and tools for driving growth through business development, navigating continuous changeand leading people.
Born and raised on a dairy and cereal farm at Hauho, Southern Finland where Jalmari spent the 20 first years of his life doing various farming activities. High interest in technology led to engineer studies that later on took him working with location technologies; optical, GPS, machine control ja softwares. After finishing his Masters, Jalmari ran the world leading GIS and mapping software provider Esri’s sales operations in Finland.
Now Soil Scout combines Jalmari’s roots in agriculture, technology and management expertise with passion in sports; a perfect fit to build up the next big thing from Finland. CSO Johannes Tiusanen CSO Johannes Tiusanen, (PhD, docent in AgTech (University of Helsinki) ) is a 19th generation farmer , well-known innovator and thought-leader; and a sought-after lecturer in all topics combining agronomy, electronics and soil management. He is the Chief Scientific Officer, co-founder and board member at Soil Scout.
Moving to the family farm at the age of 12, he got a front seat view into his engineer and chemist parents taking over and renovating the farm operations, leading to a voracious process of doing thing even better than before.
